Our young narrator, Chris, has just lost their best friend Jay. Angry, grieving, and scared Chris returns to the graveyard that night to visit their friend's tombstone. There, as they pour out their grief and rage to the sky, a lightning bolt reveals something...strange. Small amorphous lights float up from the graveyard and drift off into the nearby woods. The narrator follows, stunned and awed as the lights draw them deeper into the blackness of the forest. The dark of the night is just the gateway to something much, much more terrifying.
