Publisher's Synopsis

"I was drawn to this project through music and a chance to photograph those musicians I admire. I was offered an all-access photo pass as long as I could get myself to San Francisco to shoot the first Tibetan Freedom Concert. I was also asked to photograph the press conference. For me this was the turning point, listening to the statements made at the press conference. How could anyone not be moved by the lack of Human Rights In the lives of these people. Although my knowledge of the issues increases daily, I will not pretend to know every intricate detail of this struggle, but I will offer these photographs as a document of the efforts of so many dedicated individuals to raise awareness, as a step towards the fulfilment of Human Rights for everyone." - photographer Danny Clinch
