Publisher's Synopsis

Elder Josephine Evans (Josie) was born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania. The daughter of parents who wanted their children to experience the richness of an education. During the 1940's, 50's and 60;s. There was a challenge to descendants of African Americans to have a better life. Her parents took this to heart in regards to their children. She graduated from high school, then from nursing school and on to advanced studies at Penn State University. This was only the beginning of her quest for knowledge. Not, one to remain complacent, She ventured out in the world to find her way. Relocating to Atlanta, GA. proved to be the beginning. Working as a charge nurse in a major trauma center, has allowed her to experience a lifetime of situations, circumstances and persons that shaped her life, as it is today. The people she encountered caused her to tap into her own psyche. This book is a result of that introspection. "You can't run from you, FOREVER. You have to look deep inside yourself and learn to love the person God created. Your destiny isn't in your hands. God predetermined our outcomes, when we were pebbles in the sand. I asked God to lead me into the waters, He has charged for me. Let the rivers of my worship flow to you and reflect who I am." She is a licensed, ordained minster on the ministerial staff of Assembly of Truth Family Worship Center, Atlanta, Ga. Under the tutelage of Bishop Michael and Dr. Tanda J. Canion. She serves in numerous capacities, especially the Arts ministry. Her next project is the compilation of these into a book for church productions. Then another book, "Am I MY Brother's Keeper?" Remember, "the only person in life that hinders you....is yourself..."
