Publisher's Synopsis

Ralph Marten's future seems promising as he takes up his city pastorate with his wife, Sarah, and their two young children. When discord develops in his church and tragedy strikes his family, he feels he can rebound in time. But the unexpected happens: his marriage collapses in distrust, and the dominoes keep falling.

With hope, self-confidence, and faith faltering, Ralph finds himself lost and alone.

A new friendship with a retired professor brings a ray of hope. Will renewed faith restore enough trust into the lives of Sarah and Ralph to make reconciliation possible?
