With his book, which is set on the fictitious island country of Run Mowa, South African political activist, Nkosana Zali, takes the reader through a fast-paced thriller that revolves around political succession battles. All hell breaks loose when Achmet Muhammad, a young Harvard graduate, is shot and killed following a spirited appeal by his lawyers against a ten year-long sentence for a crime he did not commit. At the time of Muhammad's sentencing, Run Mowa's president, Nicos Muhlaba, is serving the last few years of a mandatory two terms as the leader of the ruling Run Mowa People's Party, RMPP, and the State. Several candidates are lining up to take over from Muhlaba. A continent away, the State of Pan Arabia has advertised a tender for the construction of an airport and an airport city which are jointly worth 4.5 billion US Dollars. Curiously, these two separate and seemingly disparate events conspire to evince the bloody outcomes of a ferocious and unrelenting pursuit for power and profit by cunning and shady individuals, whose nefarious activities are unexpectedly driven down this murky path by the most unwitting and upstanding types. Seemingly, whenever politics and business meet, then - as they say - "something's gotta give."
