Publisher's Synopsis
When I Write is a book of poems about everyday life situations. I began writing way back when I was a child. I grew up a poor boy, not having a whole lot to brag about. I grew up in a small little town called Wisner, Louisiana. This gave me all the free time I needed in collecting my thoughts and then writing them all down on paper. "I saw writing as my stairwell out of poverty." Every time I picked up a pen or held a sheet of paper in my hand, I felt the transformation of being no one to becoming someone. Even as a child I knew that God had given me yet another talent. And that talent was in writing. Even to this date, I believe that the whole world is my blank sheet of paper and everyday life provide me with the storyline. "I strongly believe that the best song is yet to be sang and the greatest story is yet to be told."
