Amelia and her cat Boinky wonder what jobs Amelia can do when she grows up. They explore various helping professions that relate to the concept of being a "Guardian." Jobs like police officer and fire fighter are presented to kids in a positive way, that open their eyes to pursuing a public safety profession, all while reminding the reader that pursuing a "Guardian" job is cool for both boys and girls.
As your child turns the pages of this book, she or he will be presented with a different "Guardian" Job with a friendly and basic explanation of how that job helps people. It also helps the child to understand what the concept of being a "Guardian" means, and aligns the concept with helping and protecting. The author is a former police officer and a Girl Dad, who hopes his own daughters can use this book to learn more about the importance of helping others, and be encouraged to pursue any dream they have, since girls can do anything.
