Lizzie was unlike any woman the Borden men ever met. Defiant and unwilling to bend, she refused to take her husband's name when they married. At first, Dale thought it was endearing. Until the rest of the Bordens whispered in his ear, telling him he had no control. Dale Borden was once a loving husband. Different from his father and two older brothers, he cared for his wife. Then he fell to the Borden curse, abusing Lizzie to the point she had to fight back or die herself. Now, the abuse has stopped and Lizzie is free to start her life over.
