There are many relevant passages in both the Old and New Testaments where God, both by His word and by His works, severely rebukes all fleshly sins in their full spectrum and, on the other hand, commands the avoidance of fleshly sins as one of the essential prerequisites for entering the Kingdom of Heaven!
From ancient times, before the written Law of God was even given, godly people knew how vile and hateful the sins of the flesh are to God. They knew this either because there was the successive oral teaching that began with the first-created or because of the exemplary punishments sent by God throughout history for carnal sins (such as the global flood in the time of Noah or the supernatural destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah), or because of the innate moral law, or even from the divine illumination that the righteous people of God had directly in their hearts.
