Just what IS the world coming to? Are these really the "end times" and will the world really be destroyed?
The author submits that is false prophecy, based on language in the Bible that is merely symbolic and was not meant to be taken literally.
The question is, what is real prophecy, and how will it be fulfilled?
That is, how will the humble and meek inherit the earth?
How will the symbolic "Babylon" be replaced by the new "kingdom" of God, which "shall include all nations and last forever, never to be destroyed?"
How will we share the throne as equal joint heirs and establish government of, by and for the people, rather than be ruled by pretenders who compete for the throne and rule from it living by the sword?
How will we turn our "swords into plowshares," transform the world's deserts into new gardens, and comfort all the waste places on earth?
That is what real prophecy foretells. And that will be accomplished by the people of earth, armed only with the message from the Spirit of truth that Jesus said would come, to issue judgment, guide us unto all truth, and show us things to come.
