On the hill (to the left) is a gate, turn up by it, and go a few yards to left of a fence, where a well marked path on the left leads out to the road, and the way to Moel Fammau is straight up from it. Route 2.--From Mold. Distance 6 miles. Pass the Loggerhead Inn (25 miles from Mold on the high road), and after of an hour's walk leave the high way by the old road. Go straight on, passing a corner house, and after some time pass a farm on the left, where there is a gate a little way off in front, and a hill beyond the gate. Take the green road through the valley on the right, and keep straight up for the summit. Route 3.--From Rhydymwyn. Distance 5 miles. From the station go past Cilcain Church (3 miles on the main road), take the second turning on the right, and Moel Fammau is directly in front of you, and can be scaled with perfect ease up its face. MOEL FERNA. ROUTE.--From Llangollen. Reach the Holyhead road from Glynd-y-frdwy station, and turn left for a little way. Then mount by the side of the tramway into another road, which takes you, by turning to the right, to the summit in one hour, or 2 hours from the station. MOEL FORFYDD. ROUTE.--From Llangollen. Time 4 hours. Go from Valle Crucis Abbey by the tramway which crosses the road, follow it until a steep incline is reached, and where a zigzag path leads up the hillside. Keep on over the top of the mountain to some slate quarries, and then climb to the cairn seen above. KEOELFRE, near BARMOUTH. ROUTE.--From Barmouth. Distance from station 4 miles.
