Publisher's Synopsis
Joanne Gillespie had a brain tumour the size of an egg when she was nine. After an operation, she bounced back with a liveliness that amazed her doctors. 11 months later, the tumour grew back and after another operation (7 hours), against the odds, she again survived. She was given six months to live. April 1992 was Joanne's five year target and this book is the story of how her family coped as well as including entries from Joanne's parents, her doctor, illustrations from her sister Sarah and lots of writing, prose and poetry from Joanne.
