Publisher's Synopsis
There is no one and only philosophical path. Thus it is paths as a plural which define the title and subject of this volume, whose table of contents reads like a directory of paths. It names the paths taken and describes the perspectives on the phenomenon of dignity opened up by them. Ranging from the gift of God and the autonomy of reason and human rights, twelve renowned authors from the fields of philosophy, law and political science deal with those perspectives which presently dominate the transdisciplinary discourse on dignity.
