Publisher's Synopsis
Triple bill of US film comedies. In 'The Wedding Singer' (1998), it is 1985, and Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler) makes his living as a singer at wedding receptions. When he is jilted by girlfriend Linda (Angela Featherstone) on his own wedding day, however, Robbie's musical performances degenerate into bitter tirades. Robbie's career is rescued by waitress Julia (Drew Barrymore), who asks him to help with the preparations for her own impending nuptials. Robbie and Julia begin to fall for each other, but neither reveals their feelings - even though Robbie knows that Julia's fiance is cheating on her. 'Wedding Crashers' (2005) stars Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn as two divorce mediators who share one truly unique springtime hobby - crashing weddings. At the tail end of another successful season of toasting brides and grooms, Jeremy (Vaughn) learns that the daughter of Treasury Secretary William Cleary (Christopher Walken) and his wife Kathleen (Jane Seymour) is getting married in what is sure to be the social event of the year. Strictly adhering to their proven 'rules of wedding crashing' to meet and pick up women aroused by the very thought of marriage, the duo hit a snag when, having quickly set their sights on bridesmaids Claire (Rachel McAdams) and Gloria (Isla Fisher) Cleary, John (Wilson) unexpectedly falls hard and fast for Claire. In 'Because I Said So' (2007), Daphne Wilder (Diane Keaton) is the proud mother of three daughters: stable psychologist Maggie (Lauren Graham), sexy and irreverent Mae (Piper Perabo) and insecure, adorable Milly (Mandy Moore). In order to prevent her youngest from making the same mistakes she did, Daphne decides to set Milly up with the perfect man. Little does Milly know, however, that her mum placed an ad in the online personals to find him. Comic mayhem unfolds as Daphne continues to do all the wrong things for the right reasons.
