The malaise of our early twenties affects us all in different ways, but Andy Welch, bored of the office trample, came up with a way of breaking out and hitting a trail of adventure. Ever thought that life had more to offer? I certainly did. I wanted a real education and pedalling by bike in an Easterly direction seemed the best way to get one. Hitting cycle friendly western Europe, the French Alpes, the the wild urban dust of Bucharest and the mountains of Armenia, I traced the mountainous and brooding Black Sea Coastline only to find myself falling in love with the vibrant energy and mystique of a small country in the Caucasus. 'Weave of the Ride' is a tale of friendship, love, and self-discovery by bicycle, set against the backdrop of a world of hospitality, freak weather, stray dogs and a tapestry of geography, rich culture and hospitality.
