- The Third World Women's Alliance was a revolutionary socialist organization that paved the way for Chicana feminism, Womanism, Black feminism, and other theoretical approaches. Although primarily an activist organization, concepts developed by members contributed to much of feminist theory and actively shaped the conversation around identity and social justice that exists today. Most of the writing about TWWA has been in other academic books and/or academic articles, and this first-person recounting of the members' lives will be the most accessible book on this historical group to date.
