Emma, a Vice President of Chef Inspirations, finds herself in a position where her fiance proposed, then dropped off the face of the earth. She is heartbroken when he uses shock and awe to tell her that she isn't enough for him and calls off the engagement. Her dad, the CEO of the company, asks one of the VPs to travel to Phoenix to fix the store that is there because no one has heard from the store's manager is more than five weeks. Needing an escape, Emma volunteers. During her beach therapy to understand what happened in her life, she finds a beautiful golden retriever named Sam. Sam is lost and his owner is in Phoenix. Emma and Sam cross the country and Sam is reunited with his owner, and Emma is hopelessly lost in Jake. She learns about life in Phoenix, crosses paths with some unsavory characters, but builds the store back to better than before.
