Loulou tries to be like the animals she believes are having fun playing out in the rain. She finds out she has more in common with them than she realized. This children's picture book offers a humorous look at the way children play. It has a theme of respect for the world and the creatures that live here with us. This is an original story with colourful illustrations of Loulou's home, the garden animals and her pet cat and dog. Loulou begins to understand that humans and other animals have many of the same needs and she is excited that they share so many similarities. She sees that there is a different kind of family and that animals and humans are all part of this. The story finishes on a note of optimism and harmony. At the back of the book there is a supporting poem, educational activity and game.
