Publisher's Synopsis
This report describes a series of experiments to measure the fluid loading on two cyclinders with diameters of 210 and 500mm respectively. The cyclinders have been exposed to waves only and combined wave and steady current flows in a large wave flume. The cyclinders were towed along the flume in order to stimulate the mean or steady currents and they have been tested in both regular waves and in random wave trains with a modified JONSWAP spectrum. The effects of surface roughness has been developed and used in two previous research project.
