Text in German. In 2009 a Bernese zoologist discovered a new species of spider in the Alps, which he named "Zamonian dwarf spider". The literary fantasy work Walter Moers found its way into the reality of biology. The essays gathered here on the five novels set on the fictional continent of Zamonia ("The 13" Lives of Captain Bluebear", "Ensel and Krete", "Rumo", "The City of Dreaming Books" and "The Schrecksenmeister" ), are also intended to establish the work in philological disciplines. They are dedicated to the novels in which Moers masters the balancing act between good entertainment and intelligent storytelling, from different perspectives and thus show the postmodern narrative methods, the conceptions of authorship and editing as well as the adaptations of various Genres. In individual analyzes, individual characteristics of the individual texts are also highlighted. The work represents a first comprehensive attempt at the scientific examination of one of the most widely read German authors of the present.
