Ehe ich aber diese Vorrede schliesse, bemerke ich noch, dass ich ebenso wie in dem ersten Theile, so auch in die Bibliotheca philippina dieses Heftes jene Druckschriften und Manuscripte mit aufgenommen habe, welche sich mit den von Manila aus dirigierten Missionen der Spanier in Japan, China und Hinterindien befassen. Jeder, der mit der Geschichte der Philippinen nur einigermassen vertraut ist, wird dieses mein Vorgehen berechtigt finden.
