Publisher's Synopsis
For the young Jools living in the shadow of his uncle on Novus has its' issues. For a start, he doesn't have a head for business - and being part of the great bureaucratic machinery on the lonely planet will eventually be his business. And he's also not having a great time. His shuttle has crash landed in the middle of a swamp, there's nothing to eat except berries and people keep trying to kill him. And he's not alone. There's something else out here in the swamp; Something big, scaly and with an appetite to match...Somehow he must find a way out, back to civilisation. But other forces are converging. His shuttle was carrying something that others want very badly - a secret known only to his uncle a few others. They want it back and will not let a little thing like Jools' life stand in the way.
