Publisher's Synopsis
(c)A King's Fall by TC Neville SrWhether Pride today is still the major leading factor (silent killer) in the destruction of mankind, as it were 2000 years ago. The inspiration for this book cover can be self explained. ("Walking on Air, Head in the Clouds?" = Pride) The inspiration for the title and cover of this book was based on several factors. This book is based on true events of my personal life, where I had everything money could buy. The perfect job, home, luxury vehicle etc... as described in this book. I ended up loosing it all in the end. I often still wonder, if pride alone played a big role in all this. When we ponder this we can find Pride at the top of every failure or destruction. My intention is not to put down Celebrities ("The Celebrated"), or other Religions, or beliefs, but to show the public that in my case, I was living a sought of "Celebrity" status life myself, and my audience was Social Media. I was addicted to facebook, and found myself constantly updating this social media giant of every single detail of my life (except sitting on the toilet (My Throne, so-to-speak, whereas I felt like a King with all my fancy lifestyle, and flashy things) In the end, it destroyed my life. I do not blame social media. They were only a medium, to project: "Self." I wrote an essay about King Saul's life, for a Bachelor assignment at JBTSEM.COM and while reflecting upon it, I felt convicted in my heart to share this with the world. I had so many other chapters to choose from in the Book of Samuel, but this specific chapter about "Pride" convicted my heart. I to, was a: "Saul." And today, I am still struggling with pride. (Independence, doing things myself). I pray that this book convict your hearts today as it did mine. I believe that the words in this book were divinely inspired to be shared. It is written how it is written. God's message never returns void, for it always accomplishes exactly what it is meant to accomplish. AmenTC Neville SrQuote: "... Conceit, or vainglory, is a common and fatal vice. It hinders spiritual growth, for conceit cause us to despise those who have a different way of life, thinking we're better than they. If you think about it, conceit is really just another form of iddolatry, and it is often found first in those who say they want to please God, but secretly wishto be recognized as "saints" by others. For the saints, his humility, to be true humility, is something of which he is not even concious. "Our eye is not conciously on our service, but on our Saviour. "Chambers points out concerning the idea: "There is nothing more awful than conscious humility, it is the most Satanic type of pride. To consciously serve is to be worst than the Pharisee who is eaten up with conceit. Jesus Christ presented humility as a describtion of what we shall be unconsciously when we become rightly related to God and are rightly centered in Jesus Christ." To be a "proud Christian" is an oxymoron. As Christians, we realize we are what we are because God loves us and nothing more. In this there can be no personal PRIDE, only humility."
