In Virtue Versus Vices, Chidimma presents readers with a protagonist of high moral excellence who, unable to hold her peace in the midst of rising incidents of moral decay among students after the COVID-19 global lockdown, initiates a campaign against students' social vices. With an exciting and enthralling musical show, she and her supporters flag off the campaign and successfully concludes it on the day following with an impactful rally within their campus. The success is shortly followed by an allegation against her for moral misconducts. Her reputation as a student who has high moral standards is marred. She has to prove her innocence beyond reasonable doubts. Coming to her in an already challenging period of her life, she takes courage in the hope that God of justice will vindicate her in his own good time. Miraculously, she gets vindicated and becomes instrumental for the salvation of her chief antagonist facing the music for her wicked schemes. Together as friends, they and their confidants plan to work as a team for the salvation of other students in the campus. At last, virtue triumphs in the fight against vices.
Virtue Versus Vices is replete with statements of hope, corrections, exhortations, epiphany, light and freedom. To all youths caught in the consequences, darkness and trap of vicious lifestyles, habits and behaviours, this dramatic work would be very helpful.
