Publisher's Synopsis
Nineties theatrical adaptation of the 1982 film of the same name, itself an adaptation of the 1933 German film 'Viktor und Viktoria'. Victoria is an out-of-work nightclub singer who finds success when she transforms herself into female impersonator 'Victor'. And if this weren't complicated enough, with everyone believing her to be a man who impersonates women, she then falls in love with tough Chicago gangster King Marchan (Michael Nouri). Filmed on the Broadway stage with the original cast, 'Victor/Victoria' stars Julie Andrews and is directed by Blake Edwards, the husband-and-wife team behind the 1982 film.
