I'm not famous. I'm certain of that. I'm not an unsung hero, with some secret significance that everyone needs but nobody knows. I haven't wrestled an alligator and lived to tell the tale, nor have I climbed Everest, ran for president, killed a man, or been trapped in a loveless marriage. Someone will walk by my stories in the bookstore and see my name and wonder who I am. And they won't find me online and they won't find me anywhere but my stories.
