Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Vegetable Situation, Vol. 181: August 1971
Fresh vegetables - Summer vegetable supplies may total slightly smaller than a year ago, and melon production is down substantially. The major changes are smaller quantities of both watermelons and cantaloups and reduced production of early summer onions. Lettuce supplies are expected to be slightly larger, but there will be moderately less sweet corn and tomatoes. The harvest of sweet corn and tomatoes was set back by cool weather in some areas. Vegetable prices will decline seasonally but are expected to continue to average higher than last year. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
