Publisher's Synopsis
Rebecca Tyler is a twenty-six year old Real Estate Agent with a past that made her swear off marriage forever. She vowed long ago that no man was going to put her in a position to use a wedding ring as a symbol that he owned her. At her sister's wedding, Rebecca meets handsome police officer, Jeff Bray, and falls head over heels in love with him. Their whirlwind romance progresses quickly and before Rebecca knows it, Jeff's moving her into his house. Still sticking to her guns about marriage Rebecca believes that she can still have her "happily ever after" with Jeff without the walk down the aisle. But when he decides that it's all or nothing, it seems as though their once rock solid relationship cannot survive. Rebecca and Jeff both know that they belong with each other but stubbornness on both sides continues to keep them apart. Soon, Jeff's crazy ex, Alyssa, resurfaces and takes advantage of his loneliness. A night at the movies turns into a drunken mistake that he instantly regrets. When Alyssa shows up declaring that she is now pregnant with his child, Jeff is more determined than ever to make things right with Rebecca knowing that he may already be too late.
