Nevertheless, the in?uence Of the park, versus the pulpit, avails to ensure a sufficient number Of lordly sabbath-breakers, to make it abundantly clear to the great unwashed that their rulers were only humbugging them when they enacted Sabbath Observance Bills, and harangued against the wickedness Of all popular Sunday recreations.
