Publisher's Synopsis
Book 1 of a 3 book series: Uncle Byron's Antiquated Time-Machine Nate Morton's uncle, Byron, has been missing without a trace for four weeks. But when Nate accidentally ends up in his uncle's attic after almost falling off his roof cleaning the leaves from his gutters, he discovers that it has been converted into a makeshift science lab, complete with an antique time-machine. Curious to find out if the time-machine actually works and if it has anything to do with his uncle's disappearance, Nate invites his two best friends, Sarah and Luke, to help him investigate it further. Before long the teenage trio find themselves being hurled through time and space into a very different world than the one they left behind. For the time-machine has sent them back in time to 1910, to the city of Detroit, Michigan, where horse-drawn transport is still common and the age of the automile has only just begun. Will the trio find Nate's uncle, Byron, and make it safely back to the present time to their hometown of Freeport, or will they be stuck in 1910 forever?
