It presents grammar actively in a regular "Sur la Piste" feature in which students are guided in the discovery of patterns and rules. It also has clear, unambiguous exercises which follow a logical progression and provide practice of all four language skills. Regular summaries of language patterns are included in "Resume" boxes and regular opportunities are offered for extended reading in the "Club lecture" features, supported by an activity-specific glossary called "mot-a-mot".
