The UNWTO/GTERC Annual Report on Asia Tourism Trends, 2017 Edition, the fourth annual report in the series, highlights the rapidly growing tourism sector of Asia and the Pacific region which enjoyed an exceptional increase of 9% in international arrivals in 2016. The growth has been influenced by technological developments in the transport sector and by the digital revolution. Regional collaboration with its many challenges and opportunities is highlighted as one of the affecting elements. All three influencing parts are analysed in their respective chapters within this 2017 issue.
