Publisher's Synopsis
Two recently qualified UK-based solicitors, James Whittaker and Tim Jackson, successfully land jobs in Australia and start to rebuild the reputation and profitability of Berry, Berry & Berry, a distinguished company of solicitors in Sydney. Meanwhile, the elderly remaining partner, Albert Berry, finally follows his heart and builds a relationship with his secretary, a woman he has loved for many years.
A third solicitor, Gareth Evans, unsuccessful in his application to Berry, Berry & Berry, joins an opposing firm and sets his sights on becoming a partner by destroying the current partners one by one. A ruthless and ambitious character, he murders two boys and a Rugby player, and plays a game of cat and mouse with the police hunting for the killer.
Despite the murder mystery, humour is liberally sprinkled throughout the story.
