Publisher's Synopsis

This book comprises pictures with simple text, a total of 32 pages. It is currently used to help second graders read at an elementary school in San Diego. Two kittens, whose names are Sam and Blackster, come to live with the mom and the dad, who are their servants. Sam is white with some brown. He has blue eyes. Blackster is all black with green eyes. They grow up playing together on the scratching post. Sometimes, they fight, then they make up. They do not go outside since there is a coyote there that will eat them. They let the mom go outside to buy food for them. They hope the coyote will not eat her. They like to watch outside where there is a big lizard. They like to be noticed by getting in the way on the stairs, or onto the dad's armchair, or on the mom's office chair or on a counter chair. They like to get into containers, onto boxes and into boxes. They especially like the boxes the mom gets from Amazon. They would like the mom to buy more boxes from Amazon but the dad does not want her to do so. They consider themselves two lucky cats..
