Karla was the significant other in a notorious, degenerate serial-sex-killer couple known as "The Ken and Barbie of Murder and Mayhem," operating from 1990 to 1993 out of Ontario, Canada. Dr. Dawson conducted a series of interviews with Charles Manson, incarcerated in San Quentin State Prison, San Quentin, California, poster boy for killer-cult leaders, in September 1988. He was the wild-eyed, scraggly-haired Dark Prince of the 1960s. Manson was the demon-hippie, psycho-serial-killer-by-proxy of the Woodstock era who sent his "Manson Family" of fanatical, cult-crazed robots out to commit multiple homicides in the mansions of Los Angeles.Dr. Dawson earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from The New School for Social Research, Graduate Faculty in New York City.
