Excerpt from Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Report of the Secretary of the Class of 1886 of Harvard College
At this time it has seemed worth while to repeat from the Class Day Report and from the First Class Report a few of our choicest undergraduate memories, and for the sake of complete ness to bring together from other early Reports words relating to our long list of names marked with a star.
As always I must ask your indulgence for errors I have failed to correct. As always I must thank not merely a few but nearly every one in the Class for the pleasant support without which such a Report as this is impossible.
If you receive it with nearly the amount of enjoyment I have taken in gathering its contents and seeing the faces of one after another of you rise before me, I shall be abundantly repaid.
