Very gratefully does every woman recognize the powerful infiua ence the work is having upon her own life. Visions Of the white robed throng, many of whom she turned to Christ, make the dark valley bright and the Holy City more inviting. The con?ict is only fairly begun, however; and no woman who loves the Lord Christ is thinking of retiring from the ranks. She is seeking rather to swell the numbers enlisted, to revive the ?agging energies of the disheartened, and to push the battle to the ends of the earth. The army of Christ is not an army of occupation simply; it is an army of conquest, and moving to certain triumph. The world is Open; not a country is closed to trade, to the eye of adventure, to the greed Of gain, and surely not to the gospel. There is money in the pockets of the Church, and facilities Of travel make the Opposite shores of the Pacific almost next door, and all the nations need the gospel. As we catch glimpses Of the great thought Of God, to evangelize the world through human agency, our purposes broaden, and, instead of China, Korea, Brazil, and Mexico, we embrace Afri ca, India, Cuba, the isles Of the sea - the whole world.

The organized working force Of the Woman's Board includes 34 Conference Societies, 270 districts, auxiliaries, and members, a gain Of 664 during twelve months. There has been increase in collections, notwithstanding the small amounts in the way of donations and bequests. The report of the Treasurer shows over last year's receipts. This is better than our fears, and encourages us.
