Publisher's Synopsis
When extreme circumstances push Elly and Gerard together, their lives are turned upside-down. "Please, keep walking Elly, I will explain soon enough. We need to turn right down this next block, and I will give you instructions. "Instructions? Who does he think he is? The confusion, and slight anger, shows all over my face, but he urges me forward, with his hand on my back, so that I keep going. We take the next turn, and Gerard closes the gap between us. "Elly, I don't want you to freak out, okay? The minute I say this, your first instinct will be to turn around. Do not give into that instinct. You need to act as if everything is normal. Got it?" "Gerard, you are freaking me out more by not telling me, what is it?" I ask through gritted teeth. "Don't turn around, but I think we are being followed..."
