They cannot produce everlasting joy and contentment. God wants us to change our way of thinking. He wants us to think on those things that will help us develop love, peace, joy, understanding, compassion, forgiveness, patience, holiness and righteousness. Only the treasures of God will last forever and bring comfort when our worldly treasures fade away. Only the treasures of God can weather the storms that will come in our life. Only the treasures of God will offer encouragement and hope in a time of despair. Only God's treasure has the power to speak peace over a confused situation. Only the treasures of God assure us that weeping may be only for a night but joy will come in the morning. Only the treasures of God enable us to love our enemy. Only the treasures of God can remind us to look to the hills for our help. Only the treasures of God can encourage us to not fret because of evildoers. She is an attorney and an inspirational speaker at local community churches.
