The life of Dr. Leon A. Reich has been one of involvement in the community, Israel and the Jewish People resulting in notable achievements, among them the establishment of Touro College and the Efrat Emergency Medical Center that has grown to become the Regional mini-hospital serving the Gush Etzion area. This is his story, from his boyhood in Eastern Europe and Palestine, to his experiences as a soldier making a unique contribution to the fight for independence of the newborn State of Israel, to his career as an optometrist, builder and lay leader of the Flatbush/Midwood Orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn, New York.
