This book considers first what it means to be transsexual, and what the transsexual has to go through to achieve transition is described, with profiles of transsexuals including the author's. But it is particularly concerned with the morality of transsexualism, especially from a religious point of view, and so next, what the Bible- or interpretations of it have to say about transsexualism, beginning with the Old Testament and the book of Genesis are discussed. Finally, the questions of whether those with transgender feelings can be transsexual and still be true Christians, and how the gospels, subsequent chapters in the New Testament and the Christian church, together with the Old Testament can help transgender people, are examined.
