Publisher's Synopsis

Touching the Face of God is an exploration of how humankind derived their Archetypes of Authority but then confused them as ideals by personifying them as if beings with authority. The author concludes that Narcissism was originally the fundamental design of human leadership, which formed enmeshed offspring, tribes and societies to succumb to his leadership unquestioned. Narcissism-whether from a parent, leader or God-emits an Electromagnetic-like-Pulse of energy with such force, it shuts down those around it, which then slowly and methodically wears them down, like being systematically mesmerized or hypnotized. Offspring and societies became the extended brain of their Patriarch. The upside was, this established language, ritual, customs, culture-and therefore ethnicity with a well-designed set of consistent patterns. But many of these patterns had a dysfunctional impact which formed either submissive or rebellious responses. Yet-rebellion has always been defined as the evil in man, instead of a protective response against the EMP of the Patriarch as head. Touching the Face of God explores how the unconscious Self feels the Double Binds of such a Top Down imposition of power: when you move towards compliance, you become enmeshed; when you rebel, you are blamed, then isolated and rejected. There's no win, but shame results, where some will act more than human to meet the demands or less than human because they're given up. Regardless, the Top Down pressures result in personality disorders and hugely dysfunctional relationships with each other and Self. But we will see that resolving the psycho-social Double Bind behind the notion of God resolves this dilemma by understanding what Touching the Face of God really means.
