Publisher's Synopsis

Although this book is for the most part indistinguishable from any other first-year Torts text, it is distinctively Christian in many ways. Many cases were selected because their factual patterns or the court's discussion of the case implicated distinctively moral issues in addition to the strictly legal issues in the case. Where appropriate, several biblical passages have been included in the materials, sometimes with relevant rhetorical questions. Finally, the materials are done from a perspective (a common historical perspective) that sees Torts as being about promoting a transcendent form of justice. Louis Hensler has taught Torts at Regent University School of Law since he joined the faculty in 1998. Before that, Professor Hensler graduated from the University of Chicago Law School in 1988, clerked for the Honorable J.L. Edmondson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and then practiced as a litigation associate with the Pittsburgh office of Jones Day.
