Publisher's Synopsis
Tony the Designated Hitter has been doing really well at the last few games so he decides to skip a few practices and have fun with his friends instead. A couple of weeks go by and Tony is completely out of his regular routine so when it comes time to get back to weekend practices, Tony oversleeps and misses another practice. At that week's game, he strikes out twice.
Coach Threads pulls Tony aside and reminds him that discipline and practice are what will make him a great hitter. Tony thinks he's just having an off day but when the same thing happens at the next game, he realizes he's letting down his coach and his teammates by skipping practice. He decides to be a great team player and when it comes time for the championship game against the Wildcats, Tony is ready to hit his best.
