Publisher's Synopsis

My book is written from the heart. It relates some of my experiences from when I was about eighteen months old into my adulthood. As the title implies, the book is mainly about my best-mate Tommy, who sadly died some years ago. We grew up in a world different from today: an age of innocence and fun. We all belonged to gangs; we had our punch-ups, and, fallings-out and back-ins. The book tells of Tommy and me starting school together and travels through Adolescence to our first loves and betrayals. We then move into the world of work and Adulthood. Several local characters are mentioned: "Mothballs," "Ginger Eddie," and, "Polly Nowt (Nothing)." The book is rich in anecdotes and has a blend of humour and Yorkshire wit.
