WHERE ARE THE MATURE SPIRITUAL LEADERS IN THE CHURCH?
Pew after pew, church after church, too often Christians are sitting in front of immature leaders with half-baked guidance. Is a mature leader out there? Is it possible for our charismatic leaders to develop us into bible-based, disciplined Christians? Are there leaders that are empowered by the Word of God and still have the people skills to relate to the congregants? We want it all and we deserve it all- spiritual leaders who understand the language of the spirit, move us with their messages from God and can teach us to hear and understand God for ourselves.
In To the Best of My Ability Brenda Miles explores how understanding developmental growth in four areas (physical, intellectual, language and social/emotional), can help us identify how to select a mature spiritual leader as we seek to understand God's purpose and promises in our lives.
Brenda Miles is a theologian, wife of 31 years, mother of three and spiritual leader for many. A native of Indianapolis, IN, she has a Master of Theology degree from Metropolitan College of Theology in Anderson, IN. She is currently a Doctorate of Theology candidate.
