Michael Archer died at birth so that he could again be slain ages in the future to end a war that began at the creation of the universe. He had been groomed from birth to save the Pueri and prevent Armageddon. The most potent warriors in the universe had been sent to earth by Iber to correct the sin he had committed. The only condition set upon they was that they must go unarmed into battle, for if the brother of Iber knew of their coming, he would destroy all. In the conflagration on the slopes of MountPele, Tsefal, in an act of revenge, has destroyed the Pyemia Horde. Hairaza, the companion of Michael, has been kidnapped by Akem Manah in his quest to rule Vor and take Seraphim for his mate. On his quest to find Hairaza, Michael rescues Elush form the Selef of Kiwidinok. Together they journey to DeathGate, learning more of the powers that are the driving forces behind the eternal war. The Yas Uzumati, lead by Bellum, launch their expected Northern War. Michael and Elush flee to Psak-Din where Michael finally comes to the full realization as to where he is. Meanwhile, the Priestess is taken by Rabishu and brought to Abaddon where she is used to ensnare the Shtab.
