Publisher's Synopsis
I get excited when I look at curios eyes of infants seeing the world for the first Time. They think they have fallen in the wonderland, like Alice! They begin their life without any background, prospective and retrospective views. They are weak and fantastic. However, they learn how to live, how to walk, and how to talk. They grow up and they think, create and make. The process has its own difficulties. But what is interesting for me is the curios, eager, surprised, and wondered eye indicating to a free mind. We used the same process in sketches, without any background and any thought. We began to design, to freely select and combine colors, to left our footprint as a memorial in the invisible world, and to respectively gave beauty of our mind, happiness of our heart, and glitter of our eyes to colorful dreams of Mahak Children. (1)The "sketching on Kleenex" workshops held in favor of Mahak Institute and became such a rich collection came back to an impatient night. I was so impatient that I was not in a mood to go to my workroom and take a design paper. I took a Kleenex, folded it, and began to design with my favored fountain pen. It could not be called design. I only drew lines to keep away the negative thoughts. Gradually, the lines became more complete, the ink was scatted on the Kleenex surprisingly as if it accompanied me in design process. The initial sketches were more of architectural nature and I unwillingly dew Iranian designs. Some of these designs along with some architectural volumes made based on these sketches are found at first pages of the book. 1-Society to support children suffering from cancer. www.mahak-charity.org Using color, the sketches became magic and threw me to another world. Rando markers left excellent effects on the Kleenex... We entered the dreamlands so simply and happily and began to create beauty. As mentioned, it was aimed to experience beauty and discover the unknowns to enhance our imagination and courage.
