Publisher's Synopsis

Timeless Tales for the Digital Era is a collection of short stories which juxtaposes modern technology and the timeless search for truth, love, happiness, peace and tolerance. The paperback version is a compromise between the old world and the new, as all these short stories had already been published in electronic format. The lovers of paper literature will now be able to appreciate stories about the modern hi-tech world in old-fashioned paper format. In this collection "Dante's Inn" focuses on understanding the causes of violence in the modern world and how universal, symbolic communication could put an end to all the suffering. "Backwards is Forwards" appeals to millennials, and especially young women, who are in a hurry to succeed. Faced with daunting obstacles of the digital era, they decide to use modern technology to help them look through the fog of life in order to move forward and break through the glass ceiling. "Smartphones and 4-leaf clovers" attempts to shed light on the generation and technology gap which exists between an 18-year old and his grandfather. They spend one week together talking about smartphones and technology, on one hand, and manhood and the purpose of life, on the other. At the end 4-leaf clovers are everywhere to be found for the open-minded trained eye and soul. "Randee Walker" is a 21st century thriller version of Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" with, of course, a heroine instead of a hero who, in the end, manages to steer clear of the temptation of eternal life. The other stories like "Speechless" and "Shakespeare's Gamble" delve into the human psyche to understand the misfortunes which befall us or unexplained psychic abilities some people have. All the stories include mystery, enlightenment, and amusement.
