Publisher's Synopsis
A young marine during the Mexican American war unexpectedly uncovers a dark secret trapped within a golden amulet; this discovery will alter his life and give him supernatural powers and abilities. In the aftermath of the war lost in between the deserts of the bordering countries of Mexico and America, Thomas Michael is rescued by a daughter of a west Texas rancher by the name of Loren Shaw and Thomas slowly regains his memory. Finally in a dream, Thomas is given a clue to seek his redemption. He quickly embarks on a "Grand Expedition" that will take him east through the American countryside and ultimately reach the source of his curse.
